How to Prepare for a Scan

Clothing

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may be asked to wear a hospital gown depending on the scan area.

Remove Metal

Jewelry, glasses, hairpins, and hearing aids should be removed as metal objects can affect CT/X-Ray images.

Fasting (Contrast CT)

If your CT scan requires a contrast dye, you may be asked to fast (no food or drink) for a few hours prior.

Imaging Queries

For standard Digital X-Rays, walk-ins are welcome during OPD hours. For CT Scans, especially those requiring contrast, prior booking or doctor referral is recommended.
Pregnant women should notify the radiologist before any scan. X-rays and CT scans are generally avoided during pregnancy unless absolutely critical, to protect the fetus from radiation.
Images are available immediately. The radiologist's official report usually takes 2-4 hours. Both images and reports are directly uploaded to your Patient Portal.
